Maree de Bondt

Chief Operating Officer

Maree is an accomplished leader, who brings more than 20 years’ experience in delivering practical operational and people solutions to her role as Chief Operating Officer at the Heart Foundation. 

Maree joined the Heart Foundation in 2021 as General Manager of People and Culture and was later appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2022.    Maree has provided organizational strategies to a range of businesses including Australian state and commonwealth agencies, as well as multi-national corporations and not for profit community based organisations. 

Maree has completed a Graduate Certificate in Management Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Education, a Graduate Diploma in Business, and a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology). 

Maree describes herself as an authentic, values-based leader, who enjoys working collaboratively, and believes in a strength-based approach to leading teams and people in organisations.

Our Board

The role of the Board is to provide strategic oversight and direction for the Heart Foundation’s activities and ensure that those organisational activities are directed towards achieving its vision of an Australia free of heart disease and its mission to prevent heart disease and improve the heart health and quality of life of all Australians through our work in prevention, support and care and research.
