In memory fundraising

Celebrate the life of someone you love by giving to the Heart Foundation in their memory

A meaningful way to honour a loved one when they pass away is by inviting friends and family to make a memorial donation to the Heart Foundation in their memory, instead of sending flowers. Your 'in memory' gift will contribute to life-saving heart health research, education, and support programs, helping to improve the lives of countless people living in Australia while celebrating your loved one's legacy.

When Annie's husband Vincent Mumford died unexpectedly of a heart attack, her family generously fundraised and donated $8,100 for three automated external defibrillator (AED) machines for Ambulance Victoria for the Victorian region.

In memory of Vincent Paul Mumford who died unexpectedly of a heart attack. May the AED machines make a difference and save someone's life in rural Victoria with the Ambulance Victoria project. RIP Vincent, an adored dad and husband. Your honour and legacy lives on.

Thank you to the Mumford family,

Annie, Jack, Ruby and Lily

Organising in memory fundraising or donations

There are two ways to coordinate your ‘in memory’ fundraising efforts with the Heart Foundation - create a Forever in our Heart tribute page or order memorial giving envelopes for the funeral or service.

Create a Forever in our Hearts tribute page

Honour the life of someone you love by creating a Forever in our Hearts tribute page. Your in memory fundraising page will be a lasting memory of your loved one and will give hope for hearts around Australia.

A tribute page provides a designated space for family and friends to share memories of a loved one, as well as to collect donations to support the Heart Foundation’s work. This tribute page can be shared with family and friends to contribute to around the funeral or service, or to acknowledge birthdays, anniversaries and other specials occasions.

We had always recognised the importance of medical research, so for Tom's funeral I suggested that in lieu of flowers (lovely but don't save lives), a donation to the Heart Foundation will support research which may prevent more senseless deaths.

Organising in memory envelopes at a funeral

Many people honour a loved one’s memory by requesting donations to charity instead of flowers at the funeral or memorial service. The Heart Foundation deeply appreciate these gestures during such a difficult time. Donating in memory of someone is a meaningful way to honour their life.

Funeral directors may help you collect donations in lieu of flowers by coordinating the order of memorial envelopes that will be available at the funeral. Alternatively, we can send these directly to a family member. Place your order for these memorial giving envelopes below.

Memorial giving envelopes

Memorial giving envelopes provide family and friends an opportunity to give a donation to honour a loved one. Order your memorial envelopes from the Heart Foundation.
