Geoff Lester was once a promising economics student and basketball referee when a rare genetic form of heart disease presented itself.

After four open-heart surgeries and two strokes, Geoff’s life took a completely new direction and the 39-year-old Melburnian is now training to become a vascular physician and is the new face of the Heart Foundation’s new campaign aimed at saving lives.

Geoff's incredible story of survival, resilience, and the power of finding meaning in life’s most challenging moments marks the premiere episode of Season 2 of Stories from the Heart.
