First Nations Research

Heart Foundation is proud to award a First Nations CVD Grant each year.

This funding opportunity provides for a research role for a First Nations person. The role should be embedded within the project, with mentoring and guidance provided by the project’s Chief Investigator, with the purpose of encouraging and maintaining our First Nations researchers.

Recipients of the First Nations CVD Grant (formerly called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Award) are showcased below, along with other research grants awarded by the Heart Foundation with a First Nations focus.
