Blood pressure is the pressure of your blood on the walls of your arteries as your heart pumps it around your body. Your blood pressure will go up and down naturally throughout the day depending on what you are doing, especially if you are doing exercise.

As a cardiologist and researcher, Dr Clare Arnott has a special interest in women’s unique experience of heart disease. Her research spans from discovering new ways to screen for heart disease risk factors, to reducing risk in women with pregnancy-related high blood pressure or gestational diabetes.
