Primary aldosteronism (PA) is a common and potentially curable form of high blood pressure that requires hospital-based tests for diagnosis. However, our hospitals are not equipped to diagnose large volumes of patients, leading to long waiting times and suboptimal outcomes. Dr Elisabeth Ng's project will establish modern tools and efficient pathways to improve the timely diagnosis of PA. Together with a concurrent study of a novel drug, the results will lead to improved health outcomes for patients with PA.
